Panic at the Free Time!

Alright, so I haven't seen Panic at the Disco, because really, with a title like that, do you honestly believe there's any sort of panic other than at the fashion sense? But I digress....
I am one of those people who panics at the thought of free time! I spend my entire day catering to the whims of my kids, watch them, feed them, play with them and once they're down for the night, around 7pm, I think to myself, "Woo hoo! Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, I'm free at last!" And then it dawns on me, "Crap, what should I do?" Then like a tidal wave of ambition, I'm overwhelmed with ideas; read a book (you remember those, longer versions of magazines), play a few Soduku Puzzles, watch a movie (that doesn't star a cartoon character), work on my business or even paint! Of course, the alternative to-dos also pop in there, that unfolded laundry, dishes, general pick up, etc. I'm completely overwhelmed with options and I feel like a chicken running around with its head cut off. Whatever shall I do?

So, I've decided to make another to-do list. Only, this one is a to-don't list. It's the list I shall refer to when I have some "free time." On it, I shall put all of the things that I should do, but I won't and one thing that I enjoy doing in my spare time. I shall check off everything that I'm not supposed to do and then do whatever spare time activity I've written. By the end of the evening, I will have finished everything on my list and be completely satisfied that I've accomplished it all. There is something to be said for this Wonder Woman Complex.

New motto to live by "remember me." That's not a question, it's a statement.

Free time? Whats free time? :)

I like to think of it as "me time." And me time never involves cleaning up. It is generally about watching sappy romantic comedies, reading wonderful books, drawing up a storm, or cooking up something very delicious and even more fattening.

As much as I love my kids, I look forward to me time all day long!

wow. Free time.
On the rare moment that I have a minute by my self I never know what to do first. Generally I get nothing new done. But wasn't great to have to time to think even for a minuet about your own needs and wants.
Selfish arn't I. LOL
